Food & Wine From Around the World

One of our furry babies has been really sick, so I haven’t had much time to work on this post. The good news is there’s plenty of time to enjoy this post and book your trip to Florida for Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival. The festival ends November 23, 2019 as they make way for Festival of the Holidays. I can’t wait for that! Let’s not skip ahead though. As promised, I wanted to provide a complete review of our experience at Food & Wine.

Ryan and I have really been looking forward to this event. Who doesn’t enjoy eating? This event did not disappoint, you guys! If we lived closer to Orlando, I’d visit again. There is so much to see, taste, and experience at Epcot. We decided to devote an entire day to Food & Wine on our most recent trip. Our goal was to try as much food as possible.

We used the Food&Wine app to select the items we wanted to try ahead of time. I love this app for several reasons. First, it estimates the total cost of the items selected. Second, you can cross off the items as you go and review them as well as “favorite” items you want to have again. Third, it also has a map that shows booth locations where you have selected an item. Once you are in the park, it also uses GPS to show where you are. Between the two of us, we selected twenty plus items to try…including two alcoholic beverages. We nearly got it all! I think we only eliminated three items from our original list.

Was the food good? Yes! Were we really full? We paced ourselves and did a ton of walking. I think that really helped, because we basically had something every hour. It was so much fun sampling the variety of dishes available. If you’ve never gone, please make plans to go in the future. Did we ride anything? Yes, we rode several rides throughout the day. The rides obviously weren’t the priority though.

The Food

So what did we try? Here’ s a complete look, and I’ve underlined our favorites.

Our grand total was about $120 for everything. Excluding the couple of alcoholic beverages, we did not buy any drinks. We brought our own Tervis and filled it with water. You can get a cup of water for free at the Joffrey’s kiosks. That worked really well for us, and we stayed hydrated the entire day. We also didn’t purchase any additional meals…the various plates were our lunch and dinner. I felt like we go our monies worth.

We visited on Friday, which seemed to be good time to go. I would imagine that weekdays are probably lighter than weekends. We went back into the park on Saturday evening, and it was crazy busy. We never had to eat at trash can like others, maybe we got lucky? I don’t know, but we were always able to find a spot to eat. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to enjoy this festival. Until next time, have a magical day!
