Keepsake Ornament Premiere

We sure had an eventful weekend. We’ve been without air conditioning since Friday evening. Summer months in Georgia are not a good time to be without air conditioning. We’re hanging in there though. The good news is that we attended the Keepsake Ornament Premiere, at our local Hallmark, Saturday morning. This is one of our favorite traditions. We get to Hallmark shortly after they open to collect our new ornaments. We like to finish our trip with breakfast at Chick-fil-a.

Retrieving your ornaments is a much easier process now that you can complete your Dream Book online. Simply add the ornaments you want to your list and pick up in-store. It’s that easy. It’s never too early to start thinking about Christmas (I can almost hear the eye rolls I’m getting for that comment).

Hallmark is celebrating 45 years of Keepsake ornaments this year. Can you believe it? Opening weekend is always the best time to get ornaments because of the special promotions and bonus points. Ryan and I bought 20 ornaments this year, and we’ll probably get between $40-$50 in rewards during the holidays. If you’re going to be spending the money, you might as well get some rewards. Another benefit to shopping early is the opportunity to collect limited quantity ornaments.  Ryan and I were just a few minutes too late to grab the one we were looking for. Better luck next year! We still got plenty of great ornaments. Here’s a look at the 2018 display from Hallmark’s Facebook page. You can also follow me @LifeonHarmony to see video from our trip.

I just love the ornaments that play a song or have a ‘magic’ feature of some sort. Not only are these ornaments perfect for your tree, but they make thoughtful gifts as well.

In addition to our fun outing, we got several things done around the house. We finished a flowerbed in our backyard and marked where the new patio will be going. Long story short, we had to contact a new company to provide us a quote. Our appointment is August 2nd, so I’ll keep you posted. I’ll be sharing all of the details regarding the patio in a later post. I’ll be in my office organizing ornaments and envisioning sugar plums! Until next time, have a wonderful week.
